BACK TO DANCE EVENT! Saturday August 20 1pm to 3 pm, at the Pflugerville Recreation Center, we will be having our annual Back to Dance event! We will have new and used dance shoes for sale and trade, along with tights and other dance wear. Free bun cover with purchase of tights. Bring those shoes that are a bit too small and get all set up for the new year.
Please tell your friends about our dance program. We offer high quality dance classes at very low prices – about half the cost of regular dance studios.
I look forward to seeing you Saturday August 20!
I asked several stage moms to bring baskets to recital. There is no need – I will bring them.
I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
Our recital this year will be held on Saturday May 14. Rehearsal starts at 9:00. Check your class notes for the time your class should arrive. Then there will be a short break – a great time to check your dancer’s costume, hair and make-up and see if they need to potty. Then the show starts at 11:30 am, so tell guests to arrive before then.
Our recital will be held at the Manor High School Performing Arts Center. The school is at 12700 Gregg Manor Rd, Manor, TX 78653. From the rec center, take Immanuel Road south until it ends at Howard Lane, then take a left. Go east on Howard Lane, then under Highway 130, then turn left onto the northbound service road, which is also called Gregg Manor Road. Then it takes a turn to the right, away from the highway. Take Gregg Manor Road all the way to Hill Lane, just past Manor High School. The performing arts center is the tallest part of the complex, in the south east corner.
Recital Fees are now past due. Please add $15 late charge.
The best way to reach me is by email, DanceWithMsAnn@gmail.com or text (512) 669-5678.
It’s costume week at dance class! Everyone will get to put on a costume and do their recital dance in class. Attendance is very important.
Just a reminder that the performance fee is due by this Thursday, April 28. After that date, an additional late fee of $15 will be due.
If you have already turned in your dancer’s performance fee, please disregard this notice.
The performance fee is $45, and tights are $7.50 (if you don’t have them from last year). Please make checks payable to Carnival of the Arts, or cash is fine, too.
We will be having a costume meeting on Saturday April 9 at 1:00pm. If you would like to help out with recital costumes this year, please come. While some projects do require some sewing or crafting abilities, we also have some things to do that only require operating scissors. So, don’t let a lack of sewing experience keep you from participating.
And if you would like to help with recital in other ways, we will be having a recital volunteer sign-up sheet soon. We’ll need help with setting up, backstage, sitting with the students in the audience, and cleaning up.
Remember, recital is Saturday May 14. It’s approaching quickly, and excitement is in the air.

Thank you, everyone, for all your texts, calls and emails expressing your concern for Ms. Kat’s safety in France.
Ms. Kat is safe. She lives about 200 miles from Paris. She is staying at her house for now, and has cancelled weekend plans.
One of her au pair friends lives in Paris and could hear gunshots every so often. It turns out that hostages were being killed one by one.
Once in a while, Ms. Kat stays in Paris, in district 7. It seems that most of the violence was in district 10, which is sort of across the city, opposite from district 7. And she’s not a a fan of metal rock, or soccer, so she wouldn’t have been at the concert or the soccer match. So, even if she had been in Paris, she would have been OK.
She misses home, and appreciates all your well wishes. And so do I.
