If you’re new to dance classes at the Pflugerville Recreation Center, we hope you’ll take a look around!

Carnival of the Arts is the name of the business owned by Ann Powell, and it captures the fun and variety that can be found in any class Ms. Ann teaches, whether it’s a weekly dance class or one of her summer camps. Though all of Ms. Ann’s classes are held at the Pflugerville Recreation Center, she is not an employee of the rec center, but rather a small business owner who appreciates your support!

It is Ms. Ann’s highest goal to inspire children to discover a love of dance, music, or fine arts by providing the highest quality, developmentally-appropriate instruction in an environment rich with props, multi-sensory learning experiences, and even costumed characters.

All Carnival of the Arts children’s classes are taught by either Ms. Ann herself or by her daughter, Ms. Kat.  Classes are capped at twelve children, and aides keep the student-teacher ratio low.  The adult classes (when offered – past classes have included belly dancing and tap) are taught by other experienced instructors.

Take a moment to check out a list of the classes that are offered by Carnival of the Arts, the current class schedule, and some frequently asked questions about dance.  You’ll find all these links and more on our top menu bar.

If you have any questions that aren’t answered on this site, please feel free to contact Ms. Ann.  You can email her at DanceWithMsAnn at gmail dot com (It may take a few days for her to respond!) or call or text her at the phone number listed in the footer.
