Spring Pfling & Spring Newsletter

Please join us at Pflugerville’s Spring Pfling this Saturday! We will have two classes performing at 1:45. And then we’ll be doing jump rope demonstrations inside the rec center starting at about 2:00. This year, the festival is held at the rec center, celebrating its 15th anniversary.

We have a short session dance class starting Tuesday for ages 4 – 5. We still have some places left, so please tell your friends. This eight-week class is a perfect way to see if their child is ready and interested in dance. The class is 8 weeks for $75, Tuesdays 2:00, ballet and tap. (Remember, some loaner shoes are available.)

Registration for summer camps starts Monday, March 30! Reserve your place soon. This year, we are offering our Princess Camp, the new Frozen and Friends Camp, and Jump Rope & Classic Games I and II camps. As many of you know, our Princess camp often sells out. And the jump rope camps are tons of old-fashioned, battery-free fun (and skills!) – things that sometimes don’t get passed on to younger generations in today’s high-tech world.

Registration for summer classes will begin May 6. Classes this summer will be on Thursday afternoons/evenings.

The recital volunteer sign-up sheet is coming soon. Each of the younger classes will need two backstage parents. We will also need help with creating our recital program, set-up before rehearsal, clean-up after recital, and a photo &/or video montage of images from our last five years’ recitals and classes.

Our recital is Saturday May 16 at Manor High School Performing Arts Center. Some rehearsals will start as early as 9:00am , and the show itself will begin at 11:30am. We expect the show to be about 35 minutes, and we’re done by lunchtime. I suggest bringing a change of clothes for your dancers, and then (if desired), going for a celebratory family luncheon.

The performance fee is due by April 3. After that date, please add a $15 late fee. I know the economy is still struggling in some areas, so if you would like to trade services for the performance fee, please email Ms. Ann.
